Today Reminder – 16 May 2014 (Day 12 – Everywhere)

A reminder for today
You make springs pour water into the ravines, so streams gush down from the mountains. They provide water for all the animals, and the wild donkeys quench their thirst. The birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches of the trees. You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home, and you fill the earth with the fruit of your labour. (Psalm 104:10-13)

Imagine yourself as an eagle soaring high above the earth. The wind gushing through your wings and the crisp morning air fills your body as you take in the clear clean air far away from the rush of the world. Everything seems so peaceful as you glide over mountains and past forests. Even the rushing water of the rivers below seems to slow down as fly over them. The beauty of the land below you stretches out as far as you can see from one horizon to the next and all of it looks so safely covered and enclosed by a clear blue sky.

As the sun warms up your face you can see how God created it all merely by the words from His mouth and you are suddenly humbled by the wonder of His works. Everything so perfectly designed and placed in its position. Each creature living a life of purpose clothed and protected by His mighty hand.

His glory seems to glow from the earth as the sun starts to take its position high above the clouds. Down below you see all the animals move around as they start a new day living to fulfil their creator’s design taking each step focussed with perseverance.

God is in all the wonder and beauty that we see in our world. He is the creator of heaven and earth and today He is in the trees and in the animals. He is the birds in the sky and the insects on the ground. He is everywhere we go and everywhere we look.

Come and let us just see Him, His wonder in His creation.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
