A
reminder for today
This
means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life
is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought
us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of
reconciling people to him. (2 Corinthians 5:17-18)
Yesterday we had to take my little one in for an operation
and I must admit that these procedures always makes me uncomfortable, since it
is my kids and I cannot be there all the time during this. Afterwards he was
quite grumpy and sore so it took a while to get him calm again. It made me
think about our lives and how God changes us from our old ways to the new way
that we walk today. It is almost like going in for an operation. At first you
are scared and not sure that it will all be fine. Then afterwards the hurt of a
bad life is gone as we walk with God from strength to strength. Just like an
operation it takes a little time to recover and when we give our hearts to
Jesus our lives become a battle ground for the enemy who wants to destroy us.
After an operation we get better and we feel stronger
again. This is the same with turning to God from our past life. We get
stronger, because we move closer to God. And when your operation was a success
you gladly tell other about it. This should be the same when we take on our new
lives with Jesus. We should gladly tell other about it so that we can reconcile
people with God and change the lives from death to life.
So today I want you to carry the words of the Lord with you
and gladly tell other about this awesome new life you have. Then you can reconcile
other with the Lord and help them to a better life.
So we
are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for
Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" For God made Christ,
who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made
right with God through Christ. (Verse 20-21)
Lord let us be your ambassadors today and let us bring people
back to you. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
