Today Reminder – 29 July 2016

A reminder for today
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. (2 Corinthians 5:17-18)

Yesterday we had to take my little one in for an operation and I must admit that these procedures always makes me uncomfortable, since it is my kids and I cannot be there all the time during this. Afterwards he was quite grumpy and sore so it took a while to get him calm again. It made me think about our lives and how God changes us from our old ways to the new way that we walk today. It is almost like going in for an operation. At first you are scared and not sure that it will all be fine. Then afterwards the hurt of a bad life is gone as we walk with God from strength to strength. Just like an operation it takes a little time to recover and when we give our hearts to Jesus our lives become a battle ground for the enemy who wants to destroy us.

After an operation we get better and we feel stronger again. This is the same with turning to God from our past life. We get stronger, because we move closer to God. And when your operation was a success you gladly tell other about it. This should be the same when we take on our new lives with Jesus. We should gladly tell other about it so that we can reconcile people with God and change the lives from death to life.

So today I want you to carry the words of the Lord with you and gladly tell other about this awesome new life you have. Then you can reconcile other with the Lord and help them to a better life.

So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. (Verse 20-21)

Lord let us be your ambassadors today and let us bring people back to you. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 27 July 2016

A reminder for today
For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. (2 Corinthians 5:1)

How are you today, my friend? I do hope that you are well and that God’s strength will comfort you on your current journey. It is amazing to know that all we see now is purely temporary and that our current bodies will be renewed to heavenly bodies when we leave this earth. This is a time to which we must look forward too for it is in this time that all our burdens will be lightened and our way of life will completely change.

It is why we fight this fight and why we do not give up, because in the end we will live in His glorious heaven and we will be in eternal bodies that will never grow old or get sick. We will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. For we live by believing and not by seeing. Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him. For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. (verse 6-10)

So today I want you to find time and spend it with the Lord. Seek Him with a longing heart and walk confident. I want you to live by believing in Jesus and in His grace and love over our lives. I want you to be ready for the day of the Lord’s return is getting closer and I do not want you to be unprepared for His return. Stand firm in your faith and be filled by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, today we pray that you will renew our confidence and we long for your return. Let your kingdom come and let your name be glorified. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 26 July 2016

A reminder for today
So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

It is amazing how God takes my challenges from the last few days and turns them into these wonderful blessings. I am in awe of how great our God is. You see the moment we stop looking at the troubles of this world and we begin to focus on the things we cannot yet see. Then it is as if we have a perspective change and redirection with a new alignment to what we should see. When we compare our challenges with the awesome God that we worship they suddenly seem so small.

Our lives are not to be lived here but we are to live in eternity with our Lord. This is the focus point and this is the reward for all the troubles that we face. As long as you seek God in all of them and follow His voice, you will surely not fall not will you walk the wrong path. I am so blessed and I am so grateful for this God that loves us so much.

So today I want you to change your focus and instead of looking at the problems, look at the God that is in control of all. Look ahead at the things to come and see how great God is in comparison to the challenges that we face. Stand up and do not be afraid for you are a mighty soldier.

Lord, we give you our hearts today and we pray that you will amend our focus and let us see what we cannot see yet. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
