A reminder for today
But one
who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them. A
person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a
word of prophecy strengthens the entire church. (1 Corinthians 14:3-4)
It is Friday, again. Wow time is really flying at the
moment. I am prepping to compete and suddenly there is only two weeks left
before our competition. As we practised yesterday I realised again that the
Spirit of God that dwells in us empowers us with special abilities. Each one of
us is created uniquely, but in us dwell the same God and the same Spirit. Just as
the Spirit encourages us we should encourage other. When I was at my coach last
night I could see that encouragement makes a huge difference in life. I felt
that I am not ready for this completion but a good remark and encouragement
placed me back into the race and more determined to be better.
Paul compares the ability to speak in tongues against the
ability to prophesise. Paul says here that we should all desire the ability to
speak a word of prophecy, because it encourages and comforts. The ability to
prophesise will strengthen more people at once and keep their hearts aligned
with God.
So today we must desire the ability to prophesise and use
it to help other. You are not alone my friend and therefore your fight is not a
weak one, but one strengthened by all our prayers. Let us encourage other by
listening to God and seeking the ability to prophesise. I feel that the Lord
wants me to say to you that you should not quit the fight and give up. God says
that we are able to do anything when He is with us. So your challenges will look
small when God is with you, because in comparison to Him any problem is tiny. So
keep your eyes on Him and walk with confidence, because you are stronger with
Him and nothing will bring you down. God will catch you when you fall so do not
be afraid to leap.
Lord, we pray that you will bless us with the ability to
prophesise so that we will be an encouragement to other. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
