Today Reminder – 05 July 2016

 A reminder for today
Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honour God with your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Your body is holy and you should treat it like that. Paul writes here in 1 Corinthians 6 that we should run from evil and keep it away from our bodies. We must refrain from cheating, stealing, worshipping idols, adultery and sexual sin. Our bodies are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit and we should do anything in our power to keep our bodies a holy place.

Paul’s words cut like a knife through my soul as I remember my mistakes and how I did not treat my body as a holy place. It has taken me a long time to come to terms with my own forgiveness and to find a place where I can talk to the Lord again without condemning myself. We make mistakes and we seek forgiveness. Jesus bought this forgiveness with His blood, but the enemy continues to condemn us and make us feel unworthy.

When the Lord cleanses you, you are clear of all sin and made right by God. In accepting the Lord, we accept His forgiveness. We are no longer bound by our past but we are made free with the future that now awaits us.

You are so special to the Lord and He seeks nothing less than to bring you back to Him and break the chains of a dark world. You are free and you should live as a free person. Soar like an eagle and fly high above this world on the wings of the Lord. Let the winds of change sweep over you and let the Holy Spirit lead you to complete freedom.

Lord we submit once again our hearts and souls to you and we ask that you reconcile us with you so that we will be more like you and less like this world. Let us soar with you high above our challenges as we feel you comforting hand on our lives. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
