A
reminder for today
For we
know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die
and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body
made for us by God himself and not by human hands. (2 Corinthians 5:1)
How are you today, my friend? I do hope that you are well
and that God’s strength will comfort you on your current journey. It is amazing
to know that all we see now is purely temporary and that our current bodies
will be renewed to heavenly bodies when we leave this earth. This is a time to
which we must look forward too for it is in this time that all our burdens will
be lightened and our way of life will completely change.
It is why we fight this fight and why we do not give up, because
in the end we will live in His glorious heaven and we will be in eternal bodies
that will never grow old or get sick. We will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
So we
are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these
bodies we are not at home with the Lord. For we live by believing and not
by seeing. Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from
these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. So
whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please
him. For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each
receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly
body. (verse 6-10)
So today I want you to find time and spend it with the
Lord. Seek Him with a longing heart and walk confident. I want you to live by believing
in Jesus and in His grace and love over our lives. I want you to be ready for
the day of the Lord’s return is getting closer and I do not want you to be
unprepared for His return. Stand firm in your faith and be filled by the power
of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, today we pray that you will renew our confidence and
we long for your return. Let your kingdom come and let your name be glorified.
In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
