A reminder for

And there was a

How are you, my friend? Now let’s see if we can conclude on
the coming antichrist. It is clear that his arrival is prophesised from the old
testament all the way through to revelation. You saw that Habakkuk, Zachariah, John and
Paul wrote about this man and his control. In Habakkuk 2 we see another vision
of the antichrist and this one is quite disturbing. Here it become extremely
clear that the antichrist’s reach cannot be underestimated. This man will
literally seize complete control of every nation and their governments at every
level. This will include the global economy, all military activity, all
education, the media, internet, communication, intelligence, all commerce,
transportation, shipping, all legal systems, energy, food production and every
religion. This will be a one world government with the worst possible leader.
Off course this man will need an army therefore there will
be devil empowered religious hierarchy beneath the antichrist that will enforce
his commands (if you continue with Habakkuk 2). In Daniel 8 we see the antichrist
described as a little horn that will rule the south the east and the pleasant
land (Judea – remember Shinar). So, we can predict that this man’s origin will
be from the north east. The archangel Gabriel explains the coming antichrist to
Daniel in chapter 8:23-25. Now here we see that he will be empowered by satan and
that he will destroy many even Christians, but this man will be destroyed by
Jesus, the prince of princes. So now we can return to Paul’s words in 2 Thessalonians
2:8 where he said that Jesus will destroy the antichrist with manifestation of
His coming. Also remember that Daniel received a vision in Daniel 8 of days to
come which is our time. This is the vision that made Daniel sick for days (verse
27) and he did not understand the vision. So, you are learning what Daniel did
not understood.
Now to end there are a number of scriptures that tells us
what will prelude the coming of the antichrist. We will look at Luke 21:8-9,
here Jesus says that when you will hear of wars and commotions do not fear, for
these things must first pass. Now wars,
rumours, instability and disorder makes our headlines on a daily basis. There seem
to be more problems coming more often all over the world. Fear will become much
more widespread. The list of things already happening in the world is huge and
terrifying for that matter. Now these conditions are there so that the world
will welcome a false and counterfeit saviour. People will accept this lie and
think of the antichrist as the return of Jesus.
Knowing all of this, why would God allow this to happen? Remember
that he nations of earth has rejected God and chose to serve sin and the god of
this world (satan). Main stream christianity is also no exception with its laws
done away theology. So, God will send down the man of sin to a world that has
excepted sin over God.
Please be alert and do not allow the enemy to confuse you
with his lies. Seek Jesus in all that you do and spend more time in His Word. Pray
often and strengthen your faith. The time ahead will first get bad before it
will get better. Luckily Jesus will be with us and He will give us the strength
we need to face this time and stand victorious at the end when He returns.
Lord, we give you our hearts and we ask that you will show
us the way and guide us through our challenges so that we will continue to
bring glory to you regardless of our troubles. In Jesus name.
