A reminder for
today
Let no man
deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a
falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. (2
Thessalonians 2:3)
Now everyone is looking in all the wrong places and you must
know what to look for and what to avoid. Those who are looking are expecting a
low level bad guy that only the wicked must endure. Now imagine the world shock
when they are expecting a small person and they get Goliath. This man will
reach every friend, relative and co-worker near and far. This monster will
personally effect the life of every human being on the planet with no world
leader being able to slow him or resist him let alone stop him. Now three
passages describe the scope of this man’s world control and power. The first is
Luke 21: 34-36: And take heed to
yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and
drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so
that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that
dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that
ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man.
Snares are violent, unexpected and often lethal. Jesus says
that a snare will drop on the whole earth. So, this is not a localised event. Jesus
said that we should watch therefore and pray always so that we will be worthy
to escape all these things. Not by rapture but by special supernatural
protection on this earth. Jesus said in Luke 21:8: Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name,
saying, I am Christ; and the
time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
The word Christ is not in the Greek. This picture is deceivers
claiming to be the one “I am”. This is a name reserved only for God. Now think
will deceivers actively point people to the true Christ? No. Jesus makes a strong
warning about these deceivers saying : go
ye not therefore after them. Do not follow them. Related to this “when the antichrist
will arrive” must be addressed. Can we know and do specific conditions precede
his arrival? For now know that the antichrists arrival is imminent.
Ok then we will look at the second passage tomorrow. Stay with
me as we unravel the coming antichrist.
Lord, please keep us and protect us against the enemy in
this day and make us stronger so that we can withstand his lies and
temptations. In Jesus name.
