A reminder for
today
Hide Your face from my
sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and
renew a right and steadfast
spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your
Holy Spirit from me. (Psalms 51:9-11)
From black Friday to cyber Monday. How was your weekend, my
friend? Did you shop? We went to visit my parents in their new home and it was
just great to spend a little time with them. The kids loved it and I got a little
rest in which was needed. One thing I must say is that this country is a
beautiful country. We drove down taking the N4 highway to Belfast and it rained
almost all the way. As you travel you drive past many farms and open country. After
dodging the potholes in Belfast, you get onto a smaller but very beautiful road
taking you to Dullstroom. The road winds and crinkles through open areas and
mountains that is breath takingly beautiful. Dullstroom is a small little town
that consist of mostly hotels and restaurants and shops with all kinds of African
curios. It is a busy little hub where many city people drive down to for the weekend to
eat some our best cuisine and enjoy the open air and maybe fish a little of
play golf or just leisure around. After this the road continues to bend and
wind all the way down to Lydenburg. From here you drive through some of the
most beautiful parts of our country and to do this is an absolute privilege. I think
God had fun when He made South Afrika, because it is stunning. Driving and enjoying
His creation really brings you closer to God.
Just imagine how much detail God added to the country side
and how amazing it is to see and experience, then imagine how much detail He
added to you and how amazing you are. Only sin can pollute our lives and contaminate
our relationship with the Lord. So, today we ask that the Lord just blot out our
iniquities and create in us a clean heart. Let God renew a right and steadfast
spirit in you so that all will look at you in amazement knowing that God is
with you. We ask that the Lord pull us into His presence and fill us with His
Holy Spirit so that our joy will be contagious to everyone we meet.
Lord, make us shine so that all will see, that with you we
are victorious. In Jesus name.
