Today Reminder (I know you) – 25 January 2018

A reminder for today
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.  (Jeremiah 1:5)

Every morning when I do my cardio session the gym is filled with lots of people each one busy with their training and focussed on what they want to achieve. There are a variety of people each one unique and perfect. They come in a number of shapes and sizes and I often wonder what they are thinking while busy with their workout. I assume each one has a goal that they want to achieve, or they are working towards something or maybe they just like to be fit and healthy, whatever the reason the gym is always busy.

I barely know one or two that I see regularly and a quick nod or a smile with a hallo follows, but never a conversation. Each one rushes in and do their work out and out they go. It is funny how social media has created a distance in people even if they think they are more in contact, they are not. I like the personal touch and to talk to the person means a lot more than sending a message. The question remains that in our modern technological advanced world, do we really know people.

God said to Jeremiah that before he was formed in the belly, God knew Him. God knows us before we are even born. He knows us inside and out and He knows our whole being. He knows every line, every vein and every hair on our bodies and He knows our deepest secrets. He knows the real you and He loves that real person regardless of your mistakes. So many of us want to be different and we do all kinds of weird things to change what we look like. Some wants to lose weight, other wants to gain weight and some want to look younger and some want to look older. People are funny and weird. When God looks at you, He does not see the so called mistakes that you do not like, He sees the person that He created and He knows He made you in His image so you are perfect. I have seen people with no arms and legs that lives more than people with arms and legs. It is not how we look or what we have, it is what we do with what God gave us.

He knows you and He loves you. Why should other not do the same? In the end it is all about God and you do not have to change what you look like to fit into the world. In fact, the world should change to fit in with you. You are perfect and do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

Lord, let us see ourselves through your eyes. Open our eyes to the beauty you created in each one of us. Let us see you, because you are in us. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
