A reminder for
today
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Steven Hawkins died at age 76. Although this world-renowned
scientist baffled people with is assumptions on the formation of the universe
he missed the point for so many years. One would think that someone so
intelligent would realise that this world did not just appear. Later it seemed
that he actually realised his mistake when he addressed students. Presenting
himself before students at the University of Cambridge, the world-famous
scientist declared that his years of research on the creation of the cosmos
have led him to isolate a strange scientific factor which he says is in many
ways contrary to the universal laws of physics.
This strange phenomenon which he names the God
factor, would be at the origin of the creation process and would have
played a great role in determining the actual form of the Universe.
But unfortunately, when placed under pressure from his
followers and piers he changed it. Stephen Hawking published a rebuttal to his
critics, insisting that “Intelligent design” doesn’t in any way prove that God
exists, but only that a “God-like force” played a role in the creation of our
Universe, approximately 13.8 billion years ago.
What he missed is that this God-like force is God who created
everything and not 13.8 billion years ago, but actually 6000 years ago. He missed
the whole point of his own argument and you can see that he was influenced by
this world, thus confused by our lovely enemy so that he could not see beyond
his own ego. For once he actually looked at the evidence but refused to accept
what was right in front of him. It is a shame and an unfortunate loss that such
a great mind could not understand what was so clear to us.
Once again God remind us that there is only one way. Jesus Christ
is the only way. We cannot enter heaven on good deeds or wealth or popularity. We
cannot win God’s favour by being good people alone. We can only enter heaven
through Jesus Christ. It is impossible for us to live perfect lives, because we
are in a sinful world and we are weakened by our worldly nature. It is only through
Jesus that we can have salvation and by His grace enter heaven. Do not let the
world confuse you but stick to the word of God and the truth we have in the
gospel of Jesus Christ.
Lord, please give us the strength and wisdom to speak up for
you when the world tries to remove you. You are our Lord and God and we love
you with all of our hearts. Let us stand firm in our faith and keep fighting the
enemy. In Jesus name.
