A reminder for
today
For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that
believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned
already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of
God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men
loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John
3:17-19)
It is a beautiful day here in Pretoria. It is almost as if
all the violence and destruction we see is in another country. We had a great weekend
and I got some rest in. Today I slept in a bit and moved my training to this
afternoon. So, I am a little spoiled and very blessed. This morning our maid
told us that she suspects our gardner of planning and attack on our house. He has
been acting funny and suddenly needed to work later and required her remote for
access to our home. We did not need a gardner but we gave him the job to help
him and now he is planning an attack on us.
A week ago, he phoned to ask if he can sleep in our garden
shed due to the bus strike and he struggled with transport. It sounded a bit
suspicious and basically our garden shed was flooded by the rain we had the last
month, so it is not a place to sleep. So, I said no and gave him more money for
a taxi fare. Apparently, he is upset about that. Off course it is just a story.
We live in a terrible place.
So, this morning my verse is this one out of John 3. You see
God sent Jesus not to condemn us but to save us. We who gave our hearts to the
Lord will be saved. We will face difficult times but, in the end, we will be saved
from the judgement that awaits all at the end. Jesus came into this world as
the light to show us the way. But man loves darkness so much that he rejects
the light because his deeds are evil. Jesus is rejected by so many because of
their deep-rooted darkness and desire to have what is not theirs. They would rather
destroy, murder and steal what they need instead to work for it. You see it is not
a matter of what happened in the past. It is a matter of what they desire. They
see you have a little and they will kill you for it. What we have is all from God
and I have no illusion about that. I will gladly give what I have to help other
and I have done so many times. So, I am disappointed once again in the people
that we try to help, because it is just not enough for them. Sometimes I am at
a loss for words for what is happening around us.
How much does this hurt our Lord and God when He looks down
at His creation and He sees all the hate and anger. All the sin that darkens
this world when He gave His life for us all. I am amazed that God still loves
each one of us despite our dark hearts. God is good, all the time and all the
time God is good. Be blessed, my friend and take care of yourself. God have His
only Son for you and He loves you so much. Fear not what lies ahead but look to
the heavens for your help, because our help comes from God and with Him we can
do anything.
Lord, thank you for everything that you do for us. Thank you
for your blessings and your mercy. Thank you for giving your life so that we can
be free from judgement. Let your will be done. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
