Today Reminder – 4 January 2017

A reminder for today
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. (Colossians 4:2)

"He said, 'No, Annabel, I have plans for you on Earth that you cannot complete in heaven…

Ever since I wrote about Annabel to you yesterday these words stayed in my mind all day long. Jesus said to her that He has plans for her that she could not complete in heaven. That is just mind blowing. Do you know that Jesus has plans for each one of us that we must complete here on earth. Each one of us has a specific skills set or we face a specific set of challenges. No matter the place we find ourselves in, God has a plan. In Annabel’s situation the fact that she returned from a near fatal fall and got up completely healed was already part of God’s plan. Her testimony and her humble way of life made a massive impact not only in her family and her community, but it now touches the hearts of many all over the world.

You see God uses each one of us in a different way, but you way is not inferior to my way, because in the end it is all of our contributions that will create a wave of change. It is sad that the lost will not see nor understand, but that does not mean we must stop trying. Jesus has huge plans for you, my friend, and together we can start that wave.

So what to do, what to do. God will not give you a business plan with what He has in mind for you, but He will reveal His plan at the right time. What we need to do is to devote ourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. This then is my last new year resolution and that is to pray and listen so that I can be ready when the Lord needs me in His plans.

Lord, as you bring the wheels in motion for us to take part in your plans for us, I pray that you will help us to hear you clearly and follow you voice. Help us again as we place all our focus on you and as we put on your Armour, that we will stand firm against the attacks of the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 3 January 2017

A reminder for today
"I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! (John 12:14)

How are you, my friend? How are those new year resolutions coming? Last night we watched the movie “Miracles from heaven”. It is a very inspirational movie and if you haven’t seen it, here is a quick break down.

Based on the incredible true story of the Beam family. When Christy (Jennifer Garner) discovers her 10-year-old daughter Anna (Kylie Rogers) has a rare, incurable disease, she becomes a ferocious advocate for her daughter’s healing as she searches for a solution. After Anna has a freak accident, an extraordinary miracle unfolds in the wake of her dramatic rescue that leaves medical specialists mystified, her family restored and their community inspired.

Now the movie is really good to watch, but you can google the story of little Annabel if you are not able to see the movie. Anyway the miracle is just amazing and Annabel’s experience with Jesus even more so. When asked what Jesus looked like, Annabel described him as having brown hair, a beard and he wore a purple sash.

"Heaven was very bright and it was very peaceful," Annabel recalled. "There was no pain, and that's why I wanted to stay. And I sat on Jesus' lap and I asked Him if I could stay.

"He said, 'No, Annabel, I have plans for you on Earth that you cannot complete in heaven, but whenever the firefighters get you out, there will be nothing wrong with you."

The one thing that stood out is when Annabel’s mom (Christy) said that we should live each day as if it is a miracle and take a moment to see all the little miracles around us. Jesus said that we would do greater things and that we can ask anything in His name.

So this brings me to my third new years resolution and that is to live each day as if it is a miracle with joy and a grateful heart.

Lord, let us see the little miracles that we all miss as we focus more and more on you. Help us again to put on your armour as we prepare for the challenges of this day. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 2 January 2017

A reminder for today
In this new life, it doesn't matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. (Colossians 3:11)

Happy new year, my friend. I hope that 2017 will be an amazing year for you as we follow our Lord’s voice and live as He guides us. May you find only joy and happiness in the days to come and may the Lord bless you with every step you take.

We went down to my parents this weekend. We bought my Mom a dishwasher for Christmas and I took it so that we can install it in her kitchen. My what a mission. Those old pipes really challenged me as I battled to make it’s use as easy as possible for my Mom. She was so happy when it all was done all worked just fine. It is such a blessing to be able to do something like that for my Mom.

I realized again that it does not matter who you are and what you have done. Where you live and in what circumstances you are, Jesus is all that matters. He is the beginning and the end and He is now and forever. So my message for 2017 would be this simple, set aside all your issues and focus on Jesus alone. He is all that we need and all that we are. So on day two of this new year my second new year resolution would be to focus on Jesus in every moment of every day.

So come with me today as we put on the Armour of God and focus on Jesus. Let your mind be clear of all the world’s noise and let it be filled by the Lord.

Lord, I pray that we will focus each day on you and that you will be the goal that we set for ourselves. Help us today as we put on your Armour to face this year. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
