Today Reminder – 28 March 2017

A reminder for today
Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen. (2 Timothy 4:18)

This morning as we got into the car, my son said “What if our family had super powers” For a moment we were a little lost in the dream. Imagine that you do not need a car anymore you can fly to school. You are strong and indestructible so you never get sick. You can fly around, fight bad people, and help people. You can get a super hero outfit that you use to fight crime. My son loves the avengers and off course superman. So as I sit here I gave the super hero idea another thought and I realised that we are super heroes. We are constantly fighting evil and trying so save the world by telling them about our Lord and how He defeated death and saved all the people. We wear His armour as we go into battle each day and we show His love. The fun fact is that our super powers also comes from Jesus, who created everything, even superman. I always told my son that even Spiderman needs Jesus, because he is only one man, so he needs Jesus to help him otherwise he will never get to heaven.

So my fellow super heroes, let’s fly into this day on the wings of our saviour and the strength of His Holy Spirit that flows through us and defeat evil. Yes, our Lord will deliver us from evil and bring us safely into our super hero home in His heavenly kingdom. Let us shout out: "All the glory to our God forever and ever".

Lord, I pray for all your warriors reading your blog today and I pray that you will strengthen them so that they will help other like super heroes for you. I pray that you will deliver us from evil and lead us away from temptations. Let us wear your armour as your name shines on us and let us bring glory to you. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 27 March 2017

A reminder for today
For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

How was your weekend, my friend? Mine was nice and relaxing. We watched “Collateral Beauty” this weekend. It is a movie with a very strong cast and a very interesting story. It is one of those movies that stays with you for a while after you watched it. It is a story of a man who lost a child and how he needs to deal with it. He basically blames time, death and love for his loss. Time, because time was robbed from him with his daughter. Death, because death did not want to trade and take him instead. Love, because love betrayed him. Now when he confronted love, love said something that just captured me. She said that love is part of you and all around you. Love is you and love is in your good and bad moments. Love will never abandon you. This was just amazing, because God is love and He is all around us and in us and He will never abandon us.

We live in a time where people no longer listen to teaching. They follow whoever says what they want to hear. So many churches has taken the same path and started to preach what people want to hear. People will reject truth and follow a lie. This is why it is so important that we do not lose the truth but continue to fight that people hear it and change their ways.

So today, let us speak only the truth and remind other of their wrongs and lead them to the correct truth and the way Jesus wants us to live. Let us stop listening to the lies of the enemy and start to see Jesus. Let us show Jesus and in this let us show people the light and lead them away from darkness.

Lord, be our voice and our ears. Be our hands and our feet so that we will say what you want us to say and hear what you need us to hear. Let us carry your message with our hands and feet and lead the lost to your light. Let us wear your armour and stand on you as our rock and foundation. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 24 March 2017

A reminder for today
I will thank the LORD because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. (Psalm 7:17)

It is Friday and I want to do one of those jump in the air and sing with joy moves. It was a short week, but it was a tough one. I will have to come in to the office tomorrow to finish some of the work that this little week created. It is amazing how God is so constantly active in our lives and how He just comes in and calms the storm. I am thinking about Paul and how he faced truly hard challenges in his time. How he was always so motivated and focussed and how he just never gave up. Look at how he starts his letter to Timothy: This letter is from Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, appointed by the command of God our Savior and Christ Jesus, who gives us hope. (1 Timothy 1)

What did Paul do when times were good - he worshipped God with a joyful heart. What did Paul do when times were hard – he worshipped God with a joyful heart.

So today we will give praises to God and worship Him. We will sing of His majesty and glorify His name. We will give thanks to the Lord for He is just and we will sing praise to His name. We will celebrate Him in all that we do and all that we are.

There is nothing in this world that can ever bring us down, when we are anchored in Jesus Christ. I love what Jessica Drown wrote on her website. HOWEVER, guess what? There is GOOD news! The enemy never took me out once, didn’t even come close. Why? Because I’m anchored in Christ alone. The only one constant, never changing, expressing endless love, restoration, and comfort, is Jesus Christ as this I had received so many years earlier post salvation.

There is only one constant that we should hold on and that is Jesus Christ.

Lord, we give you our hearts and we give you our souls. Come and reign in our lives so that we will shine your light and break the grip of the enemy. Lead us away from temptation and guide us on journey. Help us as we wear your armour so that we can defeat the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.
