A reminder
for today
"This
is not good!" Moses' father-in-law exclaimed. "You're going to
wear yourself out—and the people, too. This job is too heavy a burden for you
to handle all by yourself. (Exodus 18:17-18)
Overworked and still too much to do:
It is Christmas time! A time to rejoice! It is also a
time where the year comes to an end and we are tired after a long year and
desperately in need of some time off. Jethro came so see his son-in-law, Moses,
and after hearing all about God’s wonders he saw how Moses were burdened by all
the problems of the Israelite people. God had send Jethro to Moses, because God
knew that Moses was overburdened and through Jethro He gave Moses advice.
Are we not a lot like Moses? Do we take on more and more
work and overburden ourselves? Do we carry a heavy load because we are
reluctant to ask for help?
My dear friend, take advice from Jethro today and do not
allow yourself to be overburdened by work. Ask for help and share your burden,
because this way you will not only have a lighter load but you will have
someone to share your struggles with and to uplift your spirit. Say something
when you see that the load you carry are getting too heavy. With work there is
always great responsibility and with a lighter load you will be ten times more
effective.
I pray that the Lord will help you when your load gets
too heavy and that He will give you the courage to ask for help and bless you so that the work you have left are
done with perfection, in Jesus name.
Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
