Today Reminder – 04 June 2014 (Day 03 – Stand up)

A reminder for today
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. (Psalm 121)

This is such an awesome Psalm. The words so nicely fit our current theme. Where does my help come from? As this week unfolds and the burdens life throws at us seem to increase and our strength seems so powerless against the challenges that waits around every corner. I guess we often look up at those mountains with this question - Where does my help come from?

Today, more than ever before, I confirm that my help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. There is no other like Him and none that can compare to His majesty. Like a father He holds us in His hands keeping us safe and shielding us from the arrows of the enemy. We are His children and He Himself watches over us. This wonderful creator-father never slumbers and never sleeps as His eyes are fixed on us so that we will not be harmed. He stands beside us walking every step and knowing what we are facing and what we are going through. He knows our pain and our heartache as He wipes the tears from our eyes. He sees our flaws and smiles at our mistakes for He already gave His life so that we can be free from our human nature.

As we stand up today let us proclaim that our help comes from the Lord and there is nothing in this world that can hurt us. Not the sun nor the moon, meaning that there is nothing the light of the sun reveals or anything that hides in the shadows of the night that could harm us. The Lord our God watches over us.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
