Today Reminder – 06 June 2014 (Day 05 – Stand up)

A reminder for today
Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. (Psalm 125:1)

Today I have an image in my head of us rising in the morning as we get out of bed. We stand up after a nights rest. Sometimes I sit for a moment just to gather my thoughts. I always joke and say that this is my stay or go moment. Should I run or should I stay? Especially when the mornings are a bit chilly it is hard to get up and go out for a run. I see us getting out of bed and standing in His presence. The Lord comes down to us and secures us. He strengthens us and prepares us for the day ahead. As we stand up let us take that moment and just look to the Lord and totally trust Him. He will dress us with His armour and prepare us for the battles that await us.

Just as the Mount Zion, He secures us so that we will not be defeated but endure forever. Running is all about endurance and determination. Life is just like a race that requires endurance and determination. Without those two you are bound to struggle. The Lord prepares us so that we will have that endurance and our faith and trust in Him will create unbreakable determination.

Stand up my friend and wear your armour. Therefore, put on every piece of God's armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armour of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6)

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
