reminder for today
O
LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. (Psalm 139:1)
We are quick to forget when we are down that God knows
everything about us. He knows where we were, where we are and where we are
headed for. God is eternal and therefore He is past, present and future at the
same time. If you knew what was going to happen to someone, would you not try
and warn them? God knows what lies ahead for us and He surely will warn us way
ahead of time. The question remains whether we are willing to listen and obey.
Today I wish to remind you that God sees into your heart
and He knows your deepest need and desires. He knows what you need and when you
will need it. Most of us forget that God is the giver of all and we are quick
to lose that faith when we are in a good place and all is well. It is when we
are in need that we return to God and this is something I wish to change. When we
stand up this month let us stand up with consistent dependence on God knowing
that all is from Him and for Him. Let is follow Him with a renewed faith
showing our need for Him in our lives and living with a constant desire for
more of God and less of our self.
As we celebrate the youth let is celebrate the youth in
our own faith as we desire the need to grow in our knowledge of God and in our understanding
of His role in our lives and our role in His kingdom. Let us live with restless
hearts needing more of Jesus in our day to day lives so that we will rise to a
new level of faith where we will bring more glory to Him and open the eyes and
hearts of all those we meet in our day to day lives.
