reminder for today
Thank
you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvellous—how
well I know it. (Psalm 139:14)
I must admit after reading Psalm 139 again this verse
just stood out. I have written to you before on how wonderfully we are made, so
to tie this with our current month theme I thought I’ll focus more in our
abilities than our looks. Yes you are more beautiful than you know for you are
made in His image and therefore you are just awesome. Jip, take a look again in
that mirror. You see that beautiful face looking back at you? You are just amazing
my friend. You are just the way God wanted you to be and that is no less than
exceptional.
Each one of us is blessed with abilities. They are also
known as talents. These are gifts that the Lord built into our DNA that separates
us from the person next to us. They could be things ranging from being athletic
to the love of reading. Each one of us is unique in these combinations that the
Lord used to create who you are. Some might not be as open as the next for
example we can’t all be great actors or good football players although I might
admit that surely would have made things easier.
When God made you He had a specific and special plan for
you and even if you think it isn’t that great – it is great to God. You are His
design and He made you perfect regardless of what other might think. So today
when we stand up let us remember how special we are truly made and how much God
loves each one of us for He made us. So before you say, “This is how I am made,
get used to it”, think that you are made by a loving God with a very special
purpose.
