Today Reminder – 13 August 2014 (Day 9 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today
Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labour hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. (Proverbs 6:6-7)

Hard work has never killed anyone (Mom used to say that often). Every time I stare at the amount of work that still awaits me I can’t help but to think of these words in Genesis 3 - By the sweat of your brow will you have food to eat until you return to the ground from which you were made. For you were made from dust, and to dust you will return. To have work is a blessing and a huge privilege, especially in today’s world. To me my work is my gift to the Lord for being blessed with so many amazing talents. What we do, we do for His glory and when we do it we should remember that. To be lazy is the worst thing you can ever be. I believe that in all we want to accomplish it is only our mind that hampers us. My dad always said “If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything” and I believe that we should have that attitude in everything we do. When I walk into the gym at quarter to five in the mornings I know that the only thing that will hold me back is my mind and when I train I train harder than anyone else, because what I do, I do for Him. When I work I work and I carry on until it is done. I do it for Him. When we truly love Him, you will see it in everything we do - In our eyes, in our voices, in our work, in our bodies and in our relationships.

But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber(Verses 9-11)

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
