A
reminder for today
Look
straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight
path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don't get sidetracked; keep your
feet from following evil. (Proverbs 4:25-27)
Look ahead my friend; the road ahead may be awful and
difficult but it is only temporary, for beyond this path lies a paradise of
love and wonder. Keep your eyes fixed on the goal and stay safe on this path.
Mark it out and follow the guidance that the Master provides so that we will
not be side tracked. Look ahead with an expecting heart longing for His
presence in His home. As the deer longs
for streams of water, so I long for you, O God (Psalm 42). Our desire for
more of Him should be an unquenchable thirst that drives us to seek Him
everywhere and in everything. Stay the course, my friend, stay on your path and
hold on to Him. It is going to be a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs and
turns and thrills and scary moments, but in the end, it will all be worth it.
