Today Reminder – 20 August 2014 (Day 14 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today
A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted. (Proverbs 12:16)

Wow this is a tough one. How many of us can remain calm when being insulted? A quick-temper is a river of trouble. If you are quick to get angry it usually leads to more pain than it can ever do good. People were not designed to be broken down. Anger is like a drug, it causes you to lose self-control and say things you would normally not say. Anger is fused by more anger and it never ends well. To remain calm and think clearly is being wise beyond understanding. To listen and seek God’s voice in your reply is the best thing you can ever do. Do not allow anger to control you but allow God’s peace to surround your every thought and reaction. Not only will you handle things better but it will build respect that is so needed in today’s society. Anger causes pain not only for the other party, but also in you. Let the Lord take away the pain and anger and replace it with His peace and wisdom. Break the chains and defeat anger with love.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
