Today Reminder – 21 August 2014 (Day 15 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today
Some who are poor pretend to be rich; others who are rich pretend to be poor. (Proverbs 13:7)

This is quite an interesting proverb. I guess the way we pretend depends on what we believe. A rich man can seem poor by living a humble life, yet a poor and material man can seem rich when it is not the case at all. This false way of living not only has an effect on the person living it; it also affects those around them. People love attention and when they own an expensive car, they will love to see how other stare at them and desire their way of life when what we see and what truly is could be completely different. Why do we live to impress other when we only need to impress God? A humble life will give you much more joy than a life of lies and material needs. We do not live each day for our own glory, we live to bring glory to God and there is no better way to show God than in a humble loving way. Jesus was a humble carpenter who changed the world by accepting His fate and giving His life for us. Your humble way of live can change the world around you, even when you do not see it, God surly does.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
