A
reminder for today
Tainted
wealth has no lasting value, but right living can save your life. (Proverbs
10:2)
Every life is a life worth saving. Every person needs a
chance to find their way to Jesus. Even when we slip and lose our way, we are still
worthy of His love and His forgiveness. When Jesus died on that cross He did
not have a list of names that He will save, He did it for everyone. Right
living is not something we can do over night. It is a process of trying and
trying again. It is falling and standing up again. It is frustration that turns
into determination and it is pain that turns into joy. It is giving and
forgiving and living more than yesterday. It is getting lost and finding your
way again. It is more than what we can see. It is more than what we know – it
is a way of life. To turn from wrong living to right living means that you will
make many mistakes and you will start again many times, but in the end the Lord
will praise you for being a loyal and faithful servant. When David looked at
Goliath he did not see the giant like all the other men in the Israelite army.
He saw God standing by His side. He did not fear Goliath because He knew that
His God is much greater than anything this life can throw at him. This winning
attitude gave David many victories in his life. To look at today and fear it is
to hear God but you ignore Him. When we look at today, we should see the
giants, but they should perish in our eyes when we show them where our faith is
when we live for Him. Right living starts with our attitude.
