A
reminder for today
Jesus
responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!" Then he
got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
(Matthew 8:26)
The winds and storms of life can leave us in fear and
without faith. We can so easily be overwhelmed by a relentless enemy when he
continues to throw one issue after the next on our path. We forget all about
God as we stare hopelessly at the mountain of problems that lies ahead and then
we turn away from God unaware that we are even doing it. You see we look at the
problems and the more we fear them the bigger they get and the smaller we make
God. It is in the midst of these challenges that Jesus says “Why are you
afraid?” We are reminded of His love when we look up at the cross and we are
confronted with our little faith when He rebukes the enemy and calms our
storms.
Why do we fall in the trap of losing faith when we are
clearly reminded by His greatness just by looking up at the heavens? My dear friend,
do not fear and do not allow your challenges to dominate your faith. When we
stand up in our storms and call His name He will come down and calm our storms.
I have had so many storms in my life that He calmed so easily. Allow the Lord
to fill you with His Holy Spirit and His Holy Strength and renew your faith again,
then watch those waves disappear.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
