reminder for today
But
when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a
person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown
and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything
from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and
they are unstable in everything they do. (James 1:6-8)
I believe that faith and stability is uniquely interwoven
into each other. Faith creates stability and faith brings calmness. It is with undivided
faith that we should walk on our journey and face each challenge that awaits
us. James talks about faith in God alone and that we should not waver. Waver means
to hesitate or to be indecisive. To trust God with faith means to make your
choice and to trust God for the outcome. God is not in the same time as we are.
He is now, yesterday and forever. He sees and knows what was and what is and
what is to come. Why would you doubt when He knows what is coming and surly He
will shelter you and protect you.
My friend, we fear too much. The world and comfort has
made us fearful. Be bold, stand up and follow His voice. He will never lead you
on the wrong path or give you something you cannot handle. He knows that He can
do anything. It is time we remember that.
