Today Reminder – 23 October 2014 (Day 17 – Faith)

A reminder for today
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. (Hebrews 11:8)

Life often throws crossroads at us. We get to the point where we must make a choice or take a new direction. Our journey leads us into these choices. They are often not asked for or something that you can easily do. We are often stuck in choices out of fear or comfort. We do not want to take a chance or we are scared we will make the wrong choice. Sometimes the reality of our choice is hard to accept and we do not want to make that choice.

I have often found myself confused in these situations and even more often scared at what is waiting if I choose. I guess fear plays a vital role in these conflicts that we are steered into. I believe that everything in life happens with a purpose. Sometimes it comes our way to take us to a better place and sometimes purely to prepare us for what lies ahead.

It does not matter what your crossroad looks like, what matters is what are going to do. To make a decision based on the recommendation of other or on emotions is not a good idea. The best way is to take your choices to the Lord, because He knows which way is the one He needs you to be on. It is important to listen to His voice and His guidance and to follow His direction. When we follow God’s way we will never look back with sorrow, we will always look ahead with expectation, because God will amaze you with every step that you take in faith.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
