Today Reminder – 05 November 2015

A reminder for today
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. (Romans 8:26)

True friendship is rare and extremely precious. True friends will love you for who you are regardless of your mistakes and they will forgive you in an instant and carry on as if it never happened. They stand by you and they always want just the best for you. They will sacrifice themselves to make you happy. This type of friendship is rare and one that you should treasure forever.

Jesus knew how important people are in our lives and more so people that love us and care for us. Jesus gave His life for us and this marked one of the greatest sacrifices anyone can do for the ones he loves. When Jesus returned to the Father He knew how much we need a pillar in our lives and therefore He sends the Holy Spirit.

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. (John 14:26)

In John 16, Jesus refers to the Spirit as a "Counsellor" who will guide us in our everyday lives. One way he'll guide us is by convicting us of sin (16:8). And this is really a good thing: God wants us to get rid of the things that displease him, and the only way to identify those things is to be convicted by the Spirit. The Spirit works through our conscience to make us aware of sin in our lives.

The Holy Spirit is our one true friend that will guide us and protect us. He will make sure we hear God’s voice and He will lead us away from sin and closer to God.

So today I want to remind you of the Holy Spirit, because we are quick forget the important role He plays in our lives and in our relationship with God.

I pray that the Lord will fill us with the Holy Spirit and that we will seek His guidance and source His power as we step into the challenges of this day. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
