A
reminder for today
"A
good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good
fruit. A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from
thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person
produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person
produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows
from what is in your heart.” (Luke 6:43-45)
What
you say flows from what is in your heart. Today the Holy Spirit is guiding me to write
about your heart. The most precious part of your body and the core of your soul
and in context the heart has two meanings. There is the heart that is pumping
blood through your body and the moment the heart stops the whole body dies. The
heart is also used as the core of our emotions. This heart is not a physical
heart but refers more to a section of our soul that we use for emotions. The
emotional heart can be happy or sad and the emotional heart can feel safe and
it can be broken. In all of these scenarios the physical heart is still pumping
warm oxygen filled blood through your body and you are still alive even though
you can feel so heartbroken that it is almost like death.
The core of who we are is the emotional heart and this is
where we keep all those little boxes of life. The ones we open when we want to
remember again. The ones we keep hidden of fear that we will expose our
mistakes and the little boxes of joy and pain that we encounter each day. Some
boxes are bright because we want to see them and access them again and some of
those boxes are dark and hidden so that we will only stumble on them by accident.
The heart is also the place where you find who we truly are, because from these
massive amount of little boxes is the person you see in the mirror each day. The
very image you display to the world and this image is affected by the heart.
So today I want to remind you that Jesus should be the
one that fills your heart and populate most of your little boxes. He is like a designer
that enters your heart and opens all the boxes. He looks into each box and then
throws out the little bad black ones and replaces them with His love and mercy
that now comes in a bright new box that you can access each day. He looks at
the sad memories and He comforts you. He looks at the hurt and He heals it. He
looks at the fun boxes and He laughs with you. He looks at the entire room and
He does a makeover. This means, that when Jesus enters the heart the image that
you see in the mirror also changes. It turns into a fearless and beautiful
warrior that stands up from failure and never gives up.
When Jesus is in your heart, you will overflow with joy
and happiness and you will be strong and courageous.
Lord, come into our hearts and do a makeover of who we
were and change us so that we will be who you see us to be. Take away all the
bad little boxes that we keep for no reason and fill us with love and mercy so
that from our hearts will flow streams of joy and happiness. In Jesus name.
Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
