Today Reminder – 26 November 2015

A reminder for today
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God's grace. (Romans 6:14)

Victory is such an awesome thing and personal victories even more so. I believe that I all that we do we should set goals for ourselves. I use goals in my training program whether it is weigh I want to drop or reps I want to increase on a certain exercise, I always have a goal and I always make my goals. My goals are never out of reach or too high that I will not reach them. You see smaller reachable goals are great, because they are easier to reach and this is great for you self-esteem.

So to live a sin free life is all about goals. I think that we must train our faith just as we train our bodies. We need to set goals for ourselves in faith and in living a life closer to God. I do not say that you should walk on water by the end of the year. I am merely saying that you should trust God more and allow Him to take your worries from you by having faith in His guidance. I also say that you should set time apart in your day and spend that time reading His Word and spending time with God. The closer we move to God the stronger our bond with Him gets and the harder it will be for the enemy to push you over.

We are not bound by sin anymore, we are living under God’s grace and His love and this means that we have no need to worry anymore. With Him all is possible.

So today I want to challenge you to set goals and to reach those goals.

Lord, I pray that you will help us and guide us as we set goals and work to reach them in faith and in a stronger relationship with you. I pray that you will be with us when we spend time with you and that we will feel your presence as we worship you Lord. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
