Today Reminder – 17 November 2015

A reminder for today
"There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants." (John 3:18-21)

Oh wow what an awesome piece of scripture. Jesus talks to Nicodemus and He is trying to explain to him that they must be born again of the Spirt and change their ways so that they will move out of the darkness and into the light. My friend, I know all about that darkness and I know how it is to hide from the light in fear of your sins. Jesus comes here and He tells us that we must move to Him despite our sins and allow His light to shine upon them and take them from us. The light of Jesus is the very light that fills us and shines through us when we accept Him and allow Him to change who we were to who we are supposed to be. You are no longer that person you were, you are a new person made new by His light and born again by the Holy Spirit. When you accept Jesus as your saviour He comes into your life and basically turns it upside down. What once was is no more and what once seemed impossible now becomes possible. Yes, even a sinner like me finds refuge in Him and freedom from judgement.

So today I want to remind you of that light that shines from within you. Let it shine, because you are free and you are one amazing person. You have stepped away from darkness and into the light and you have become a champion in God’s army. You are awesome, my friend.

Lord, we ask for your forgiveness and we ask that you will come and lift us up from the darkness that continues to try and pull us down. Lord we give you our hearts and we accept you as our saviour. Please fill us with you light so that we will shine no matter the circumstances. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
