Today Reminder – 10 November 2015

A reminder for today
Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God." (Mark 10:27)

Never ever give up. Life is all about those unexpected curve balls. Each day sees a new challenge and a new obstacle that just can’t wait to see us fall. What happens so many times is that we get to that point where we just give up and we don’t want to try anymore, because it seems that all our attempts end in failure.

Jesus knew all about hard times and He understands the storms that we face when we feel there is no more reasons to carry on and continue. Jesus knows, because He too felt the fear of a massive challenge that seemed beyond His human abilities. Jesus prayed in the garden just before He was captured and crucified.

He told them, "My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine." (Matthew 26:38-39)

Jesus felt the burden of what awaited Him and in the same way He knows how our burdens can drag us down and drive us to the point where we are broken and destroyed. But what makes me stop and think is what Jesus ends His prayer with: Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.

Jesus says that there are many things in life that will feel impossible for us and many challenges that will seem like destructive storms. Jesus says here in Mark that it may be humanly impossible, but with God all things are possible.

So today I want to remind you that when you reach the end and you feel it to be impossible, it is all possible with God. So don’t give up, my friend, stand firm and keep on fighting.

Lord I pray that we will make these verses our own today so that we know when it seems impossible to us it is possible with you. Lord let your will be done and not ours. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
