A reminder for today
Well
then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his
wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we
continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined
with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and
were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. (Romans
6:1-4)
Sin is broken and destroyed by our Lord so we cannot
continue to sin anymore. We joined our Lord in death and rose from the ashes of
our previous lives to the light that is our new existence. We climbed out of
the pit of despair and into the joy of freedom from sin and judgement. We walk differently
and we talk differently. We think differently and we understand differently. We
are changed by His love and mercy and as we align ourselves more with Him we
become more like Him. The more we become like the Lord the more His grace will
be highlighted in our lives.
You are free my friend. This means you are free from the
darkness that this world brings. You are made perfect in your acceptance of the
Lord and you are so special to Him. You are so much more than meets the eye and
you are so wonderfully created.
So stand up, my friend, and do not let your challenges get
you down today. Remember that you are made free and sin has no more power over
you. Do not let people bring you down, because an all-powerful God is lifting
you up and watches over you.
Lord, let us flourish in this day and bring praises to you
in all that we do. In Jesus name.
