Today Reminder – 10 November 2016

A reminder for today
For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. (Philippians 1:29)

Yesterday I wrote to you about labels and how we are labelled and how we label ourselves. I took the boys for a hair cut and while I was there I listened to a very interesting conversation. One of the people waiting to cut their hair said that our actions not only labels us but it labels our race and religion in what we do. I agree with him on this matter, because when someone does something wrong we direct our anger not only to that person but his race also. When I as a christian hurts someone, people will be quick to say that those Christians did it. And the worst of it is that if I do it it will create an environment where those people will judge any other Christian in the same way no matter if they have never done anything wrong. There are so many false prophets that will do terrible things in the name of Christianity. So yes we are labelled and we label quite quickly also, but is it not something that we must steer away from. Should we not stop labeling and start to be a better example. Should we not rather stop throwing words and start to act as the Word says? I believe we should. Can you imagine the change in our world if we all stop to judge and label people and start to live and love as Jesus teaches. Can you imagine how that will change people if we stop for a moment and stop to just think of ourselves and start a day with kindness. What a world we will have. For example if you are nice to someone that made mistake and you help them instead and they in turn does the same to the next person and so the chain of kindness events ripples through our community and then our country and then our continent and finally all over the world. It will be a kindness revolution that will devastate all evil. Can you imagine if all the bad in this world are turned into good and hate disappears and greed is destroyed. What a wonderful world we will have.

So today I challenge you to let it start with you. Make the change and be the one who turns bad into kindness. Throw the seeds of the Word of God into the hearts of those you are kind to and let the Lord bless them so that they can grow into world changers.

Lord, I pray that we will see a kindness revolution that will change this world. I thank you for the rain you blessed us with and I pray that you will continue to bless us as we fight to destroy evil. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
