A reminder for
today
And now, dear brothers
and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable,
and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are
excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8)
We are so quick to believe anything other say. We hear
something and we are influenced by another opinion. We do not question it nor
do we research it for ourselves, we just believe it not knowing the source nor
knowing whether it is true or not. We do this in so many cases. For example, if
you get to work and somebody say something negative about your dress or you
shirt, you are likely do accept their truth above you own. You will believe
that you look terrible even though you looked nice to yourself when you stood
in front of the mirror. We allow negative and bad thoughts to alter our person
and dictate our lives. We will question our faith but we do not question the
news papers. Most news papers make the stories juicy by trying to make it much
more that it is so that we will buy it. Car salesman does the same thing, they
make a 1.2 liter car sound like a Ferrari depending of their audience, because
if an older family man is interested in the same vehicle they will sell it as
a safe and reliable car. The fact is we allow the world around us to steer our
thoughts and dictate who we are. Why do we allow this nonsense?
The Lord came to this earth and He showed us that this world
is a corrupt and self centered mess where people will do anything for their own
selfish desires. People will say anything to get you on their side and the
devil will use any fool to break your trust and make you fall. Just as the Lord
uses us to preach the good news, they enemy makes use of the lost to preach the
opposite. To create a need for things you do not need. To make you desire the
wrong things and lead you on a path of destruction. The devil will even use
false prophets to make you question your faith.
So today I want you to clear your mind from all the rubbish
this world broadcast and focus on the Word of God. Fix your thoughts on what is
true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. think of
things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Let God be the center of your
thoughts and your faith and focus on Him as you test all against the Word of
God.
Lord, this world is a very bad place and it is so important
that we keep our minds clean and clear of all the pollution that the enemy
brings. Fill us today with all of you so that we will be full of your glory. In
Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
