Today Reminder – 7 November 2016

A reminder for today
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.(Philippians 1:3)

How are you, my friend and how was your weekend? We had a very restful weekend and I took the boys to watch the movie “Storks” on Saturday. We had some rain over the weekend and what a blessing, because we are expecting more in the week to come. I must say it is truly a blessing to write to you and to share God’s heart with you as we walk through His awesome Word. Today I feel that we must be thankful and I am thankful for you. You read God’s blog and you share in His amazing love and you see His unlimited grace, because my life is surely a movie of grace and love. I have walked through darkness and still His light fills my path. So I give thanks to God for you. I thank Him for you and that you make time to read what He wants us to hear as I share my reminders each day. I thank God for all that He has done and I thank Him for all the gifts I have received and all that I must still go through.

So today I will thank the Lord for His mercy and grace and whatever comes my way I will not turn back, because we cannot lose if we keep on learning. And there is so much to learn from our God. So smile with me as we thank our savior for His wonderful love because we are with Him until eternity.

Lord, I thank you for every wonderful person that read’s your blog and I give thanks to you for all you have done for us and all that you are still doing. Holy is your name. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
