Reflections of faith (Be a light) – 29 January 2019

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (Matthew 5:14)

Today is a good day. I struggled out of bed and did my cardio kicking session before I took my boys to school. We had a few laughs on the way and said our goodbye’s as they went of to class. My workout was tough but awesome. The Lord is bringing so many amazing people into my life and I am just blessed. Despite all my financial challenges I am still floating, and I am still fighting. I am a walking example of grace.

So, Jesus says that you must be a light. He said that a city on a hill cannot be hidden and a candle is never placed in a bushel. Jesus said that we must go out into the world and shine our light. He says that we must shine our light before men so that they can see our good works and glorify the Lord our God.

The hardest thing to do is to let your light shine all the time. The enemy comes and steal your joy by putting you through hard times. He tries to put out your light by putting you into a storm. He wants you to fade and die. He tried that with me the last few months and he got close. But I would not let go of my faith and I would not let go of my God.

Every time the waves hit, I turned to God for my refuge and my sanctuary. Every time the hurt and pain poured into my body, I turned to Him. And every time I had to deal with lies and arrogance I just called out His name. Every time, the Lord answered and every time He pulled me closer and held me tighter. Every time He carried me over the storm.

So, today I say let them see your light in me, Lord. Let my life reflect your love and your grace and let my life glorify you. Let me be your words wherever I go and to whoever I speak. Let your light shine through me and blind the enemy and open the eyes of those around me. Let me be the man you planned me to be when I was still a baby.

Let your words over my life take form and let me do the things that you are preparing me to be. Let me be the Father my kids need and let me be the ambassador that you need. Let my life be like a city on a hill.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
