Reflections of faith (My victory) – 31 January 2019

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:52)

Sometimes it is those closest to you that hurts you the most. The enemy is cunning and when he sees a gap, he will use anyone to break your faith and push you into a wall. The amazing thing about our God is that in the end He will reveal all. So, the haters and the hurters in your life may smile and laugh at their tiny victories but our victory will be much greater. I have been called many things and I have been many things but my love for my God has grown tremendously over the last few years. I love the quote that some will never like you because your spirit annoys their demons.

Today I am just grateful. God is placing amazing people into my life and He is revealing the lies of those against me. My faith remains constant and although it hurts still, I am much stronger, and I am in a much better place. My heart is in a process of healing by the grace and love of the almighty healer. He has opened my eyes so that I can see my past is clear and my mistakes forgiven.

He showed me His hands and He showed me His feet. I can feel His presence daily and I am at a loss for words by the amazing ways He is rebuilding me. I am under construction and the building blocks that is coming into my life is just awesome.

So, today my thanks and my joy are in my God. He is giving me more and more victories each day though my saviour and redeemer. Be strong, my friend and let us face this day and all its challenges through love and grace and the strength that flows from our Father.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
