Today Reminder - 19 December 2012 (Following God)

A reminder for today

Whenever the cloud lifted from over the sacred tent, the people of Israel would break camp and follow it. And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel would set up camp. So they camped or travelled at the LORD's command, and they did whatever the LORD told them through Moses. (Numbers 9:17 and 23)

Following God:

A friend of mine send me an email a while back about you and God. When I read this section in Numbers today I realised that God still leads us today as He did so many years ago with the Israelites in the desert. Today God may use circumstances or events in our day to alter our course, but He is always there with us wherever we go.

So let met share the mail with you today:

Me: God, can I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won't get mad ... ... ... ...

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Huummm

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one
of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I'm Sorry God

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

Today Reminder - 18 December 2012 (Blessed)

A reminder for today

'May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favour and give you his peace.' (Numbers 6:24-26)

Wow! It is a week before Christmas! What an awesome time of the year. We once again get the opportunity to celebrate one of the greatest gifts ever given to us by God our Father. We celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

It is the time of the year where we share the joy with friends and family and with all those around us. It is a time of giving representing the awesome gift we have in Jesus Christ. 

It is also a crazy time where people rush around to get the last Christmas shopping done and there is the rush to get to the holiday destinations and then there is the sad and terrible that creeps in as the enemy continues to try and destroy the joy of Christmas.

Therefore my dear friend, my prayer for you for today is this:  'May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favour and give you his peace.' - In Jesus name.

Today Reminder - 17 December 2012 (Warriors)

A reminder for today

"From the whole community of Israel, record the names of all the warriors by their clans and families.” (Numbers 1:2)

My dear friend, the war is not against people that we can see. The war is against the unseen forces of the devil. God is calling you to be a warrior for Him, to arm yourself in His armour so that you can defeat the enemy as they launch their attacks on us.

Come with me today as we stand firm on our beliefs as we face the enemy to defeat them at each chance. Let us unite in celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ as we resist all that the enemy has to try and destroy this special time of the year.

Let joy and happiness be our weapons so that we will destroy the evil in our world.

Therefore, put on every piece of God's armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armour of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:13-18)

Today Reminder - 14 December 2012 (Motivations)

A reminder for today

Motivations:

Grace is God’s ability in me to do what I cannot do by myself

If you are wrapped up in yourself, you make a small package

Do not despise the day of small beginnings

It’s our relationship with God that produces righteous works in our lives NOT our righteous works that produce relationship with God.

Satan does exist but his only real power is deception

Why be a cheaper copy of a greater original?

Success seems to prefer people who are prepared

Stress in life comes from making things more important than they really are. Failure comes from making things less important than they are

Salvation means – To rescue, to deliver, to heal, to make safe and, to make sound.

Right believing produces right living

If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

Don’t worry about ANYTHING; instead, pray about EVERYTHING. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.

Today Reminder - 13 December 2012 (Compassion)

A reminder for today

The LORD passed in front of Moses, calling out, "Yahweh! The LORD! The God of compassion and mercy!
I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.” (Exodus 34:6)

Compassion:

My dear friend, God is reminding you today that He is love and He is faithfulness. He stands beside you holding you in His hands and He walks with you as you travel each day on your journey of life. God is slow to anger, so do not let the enemy deceive in making you think God is angry at you for your mistakes, instead God hungers for your return and desires your heart to be His heart and your voice to praise His name and your life to be for Him.

Come and let us return to God with passion and commitment so that we can receive His compassion and mercy and so that we can be on our way to Him.

I pray that you will return to the Lord with a joyful heart giving Him praise and glory as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, in Jesus name.
