Today Reminder - 07 January 2013 (Enemies)

A reminder for today
Then King Balak demanded of Balaam, "What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies. Instead, you have blessed them!" But Balaam replied, "I will speak only the message that the LORD puts in my mouth." (Numbers 23:11-12)

Enemies – following God’s voice:

When Balak wanted Balaam to curse the Israelites, Balaam went and asked God what to do. God told him not to curse His people, but instead Balaam blesses them. This was a huge concern to King Balak who wanted to destroy the Israelites.

What do you do to your enemies? Would you prefer them cursed and destroyed or do you seek a blessing for them too? It is hard I know, to want someone to prosper when they have wronged you and to help someone that you know will not appreciate what you have done. God wants us to pray for our enemies, because just as God loves you he loves everyone – even the bad ones.

So to rather give to your enemy, instead of hating them, will certainly make them think and If it has no effect on them, at least your conscience is clear when you have to stand before God.

My dear friend, listen to God’s voice and do not hate. Love all for God loves all, pray for your enemies and help them when they need it, because this will show God to them and in the end you might save a life instead of condemning it.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 04 January 2013 (God's way)

A reminder for today
"But I am the same donkey you have ridden all your life," the donkey answered. "Have I ever done anything like this before?"  "No," Balaam admitted. (Numbers 22:30)

God’s way – did you listen?

This is one of the most interesting parts in the Bible where God gave Balaam’s donkey the ability to talk. God did not want Balaam to go to Balak, so God send an angel to block the way. The donkey saw the angel and tried to turn away. This angered Balaam who then gave the animal a beating. On the third time the donkey spoke and asked this very important question: "But I am the same donkey you have ridden all your life," the donkey answered. "Have I ever done anything like this before?"

My dear friend, sometimes things or people or even animals does not behave in the usual or normal manner. Sometimes God will even use an animal to steer us away from danger and send us back on the path He has chosen for us. When things don’t turn out the way you want them to go, it is most certainly God who is directing your path and leading you to where He needs you to be.

In accepting God’s lead and humbly following His way, you will definitely get closer to God and by this you will glorify His name and show Him to those who have forgotten.

I pray that you will hear God’s voice and follow His direction and that God will bless you on your way as you continue to humbly trust Him, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 03 January 2013 (The true healer)

A reminder for today
Then the LORD told him, "Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!" So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed! (Numbers 21:8-9)

The true healer – Jesus Christ:

God’s anger send poisonous snakes to the Israelite camp and when Moses pleaded with God, God told him to make this replica of the poisonous snake and by looking at it the people will be healed.

Just like these snakes, the enemy sends his armies into the world to mislead us and to hurt us and finally steer us away from God. Jesus our saviour was raised on the cross where He defeated the enemy and death and finally broke the burden of sin. Every time we look to the cross of Jesus and align our lives with Him we are healed from the continuous attacks of the enemy.

Jesus is the true healer of souls and with Him you are truly set free from this world and made right with God. He is the hope of the nations, the one who broke the chains and the one who pleads your case before God.

My dear friend, with Christmas behind us let us not forget the gift we have in Jesus. Come and celebrate His victory with me today as we continue to remember His cross and realign ourselves with Him. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide as we live a life to be more like Jesus.

I pray that you will be washed clean once again by His precious blood and that your life will become a blueprint of the life of Jesus as we glorify God for this wonderful gift we have in Jesus, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 02 January 2013 (Impatient)

A reminder for today
Then the people of Israel set out from Mount Hor, taking the road to the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom. But the people grew impatient with the long journey. (Numbers 21:4)

Impatient – time can be a teacher:

Once again the people of Israel grew impatient with God because their journey was longer, since they were not allowed to travel through the land of Edom. Patience is something I think all of us lack at a time in our lives. There always comes a time when we run out of it and it normally ends in disaster. I struggle with patience a lot and of course the enemy will attack me on this soft spot as much as possible.

My dear friend, add this to your new year’s resolutions. To be more patient with everyone, especially your loved ones and those the Lord sends on your way to help. With patience comes experience. You see if we are more patient we will learn more and become more experienced. So when the time comes we will be more qualified to deal with the situation. Time is your teacher, because patience adds time to your journey and in patience your trust in God is raised to a much higher level. This will not only add to your experience but it will certainly grow your relationship with God. So in the end the longer way will be a much safer and better way than the shortcuts the enemy proposed.

I pray that the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom and patience in all that you do in this year and that your patience will be rewarded with victories, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus and Happy New Year!

Cheers

Today Reminder - 01 January 2013 (Happy New Year)

A reminder for today
But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not trust me enough to demonstrate my holiness to the people of Israel, you will not lead them into the land I am giving them!" (Numbers 20:12)

Happy New Year – looking ahead:

And there it is, 2013! It is a new year, new beginnings and new ideas. A time for change with New Year’s resolutions and plans for the year that lies ahead. In so many ways God showed Moses His holiness and yet Moses became frustrated and lost his trust. This cost him dearly in the sense that God did not allow him to lead the people of Israel into the Promised Land.

You see God takes “trust” very seriously and I know He does not bring things into your life so that you can lose that trust, but rather that your trust in Him will increase as you humbly live dependently on God.

My dear friend, my prayer for you for the year that lies ahead is that your trust in our Lord will grow to a new level and that together we will see His holiness as we show it to those around us. Let us take on 2013 and all the challenges that lie ahead to glorify an awesome and amazing God. I pray that you will have a wonderful new year and that your relationship with God will soar to new heights, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus and Happy New Year!
