Today Reminder – 14 June 2016

 A reminder for today
So it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. (Romans 12:5)

It is always nice to compare God’s kingdom here on earth with a toolbox. A toolbox is full of tools and each tool is specifically designed for a purpose. Tools can be so unique that there is no other tool than this specific one to do the task at hand. Not all toolboxes have the same equipment. The owner adds the tools in his toolbox for a specific task that needs to be done. When he arrives at the site he makes his assessment and uses the tools required for the job to complete it.

So it is in God’s kingdom. Each one of us is specifically designed by our Lord the master designer to be perfect for a task that God will bring into our journey. God gave you talents to become the best tool for the job when He needs you to complete it. So yes you have purpose and God is directing your life so that you can fulfil that purpose and bring glory to God. You are perfect and you are unique. You are wonderfully crafted by a loving God and given life to show Him to a hostile world.

So today I want you to know that you are perfect and that you have purpose. Follow His voice and let Him guide you to become the best tool for the job. You are awesome, my friend.

Lord, guide us and lead us so that we can become the best tool for the job you have for us. Let us bring glory to you by using our talents and praising you in all we do. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 13 June 2016

 A reminder for today
Oh, how great are God's riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! For who can know the LORD's thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice?
And who has given him so much that he needs to pay it back? For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen. (Romans 11:33-36)

I love these verses. It continuously reminds me of my very small existence compared to the majesty of our Lord. You see we tend to forget so easily how much God does for us. We do not realise that all is from Him and for Him and we become trapped in a world where the tendency is to live for yourself and uplift yourself. We live in a world where people love attention and they love to be honoured for the things they do. The world does not follow God as we do. You see we realise that nothing is from us and nothing we can ever do is so great that God must feel He needs to pay us back. Who can comprehend the enormousness of the wonder of our God and yet we feel we should give Him advice and tell Him what to do.

The minute you realise how small you are compared to Him you can understand the absurdity of thinking you can advise Him. My friend all is from God and all is for God. We must remember to live thanking God and reminding ourselves of what God does in our lives. We must then turn form our wicked and wrong ways and live in way that we can bring glory to God. Everything exists by His power and yet we remain arrogant in our plans and ideas as we just push God to the side and continue with our lives.

So today we must bring honour and glory to God by living more for Him than against Him.

Lord, I give you my heart and I give you my soul. Let your will be done and let your kingdom come. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 10 June 2016

 A reminder for today
In fact, it says, "The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart."
And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  (Romans 10:8-9)

So many of us is tricked by the enemy in thinking that we will not be saved. The enemy comes into your life and reminds you of all the bad you did and then he tries to convince you that there is no redemption for someone with so many skeletons in their closet. We walk each day carrying the past with us and it becomes something that starts to feed of your misery. We find ourselves dwelling to much in the past that we do not see the hope of the future. We turn into a state of self-pity and inner conflict where we question our very existence.

So after all this sorrow and sulking we have wasted so much time. God made it so easy. His message is quite simple: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

This means that you with all that sorrow in your life is taking the time to listen to the wrong side. We would rather listen to the misery than see the glory that there is in Jesus. So you, my friend, you will be saved, because you believe that God raised Jesus from the dead and you will gladly confess that Jesus is Lord. A simple sentence with enormous effects. Trusting and believing in God and listening to His guidance will create a ripple effect in your life.

His light and joy will turn your sorrow into dancing and His love will break your darkness and bring you back into the light. Do not let the enemy try and convince you that you are not worthy. You are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. So stop with the past dwelling stuff and start living for Jesus.

Lord we confess that you are Lord and we believe that God has raised you from the dead so that we will not perish, but live with your forever. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
