A
reminder for today
Then
the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him. He went down to the town of
Ashkelon, killed thirty men, took their belongings, and gave their clothing to
the men who had solved his riddle. But Samson was furious about what had
happened, and he went back home to live with his father and mother. (Judges
14:19)
Does anger drive you away from the problem? Do you wish
to be somewhere else when you are angry to get away or do like confrontation
and just head on in guns blazing? In this part of Samson’s life God used his
anger to teach the Philistines a lesson. I suppose God can even let anger work
to His advantage.
It is just what we do when we are angry or after we were
angry that is so important. Anger is a very useful tool that the enemy uses to
get us away from God. When we are angry it is best to return to God for peace
and guidance and seek His forgiveness and then face the problem with His
wisdom. Taking on a problem or someone in anger will never end well, but when
you are calm and prepared you will find that you can achieve much more than
what you would’ve when you were angry.
My dear friend, do not let anger control you, but instead
control anger with God as your mediator and guide to a relaxed and wise
confrontation. Thus in the end people will see Jesus at work in your life and
seek His presence in their own lives. This is the essence of the gospel.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
