A
reminder for today
And I
am here to tell you that you and your family are the focus of all Israel's
hopes." Saul replied, "But I'm only from the tribe of Benjamin, the
smallest tribe in Israel, and my family is the least important of all the
families of that tribe! Why are you talking like this to me?" (1 Samuel
9:20-21)
Oh boy, this sounds just like Gideon. Israel wanted a
king, so God pointed out Saul to Samuel as the man who will be king over
Israel. His son Saul was the most
handsome man in Israel—head and shoulders taller than anyone else in the land (Verse
2). Now the LORD had told Samuel the previous day, "About this time
tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him to be the
leader of my people, Israel. He will rescue them from the Philistines, for I
have looked down on my people in mercy and have heard their cry."(Verse 15
and 16)
Once more God takes one of the least to be one of the
greatest. How many times must we hear about people who against all odds
succeeded where everyone else thought they will not? I told you yesterday that
with God all things are possible. We are too quick to give up and we can so
easily complain about things. We look no further than we should and we can so
quickly forget about things that we think is not so important.
My dear friend, God wants me to crown you a
prince/princess today. You are all children of God and in that you are all
princess and princesses in God’s kingdom. Today you are identified as a child
of God and you are summoned to stand and lead by example. You are placed in the
seat of the guest of honour and only the best awaits you. You are destined to
lead your people into victory over the enemy and show them how great God is.
You are chosen, my dear friend, to be fearless and bold
as we worship our heavenly Father and take on this new day will determination
and motivation to succeed where other gave up and to bring honour to our Father
where other will try and dishonour Him.
Rise mighty King, and lead us into battle.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
