Today Reminder - 18 April 2013 (Hannah)

A reminder for today
The LORD makes some poor and others rich; He brings some down and lifts others up. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honour. For all the earth is the LORD's, and He has set the world in order. (1 Samuel 2:7-8)

Hannah’s prayer of praise.

This is just an amazing prayer of praise that Hannah prays to the Lord. Verse 7 and 8 caught my attention. I love how she says that the Lord lifts the poor out from the garbage dump and places them among princes. I can just imagine how grateful Hannah must be to the Lord for changing her life and giving her a son. When she says that the Lord lifts the needy up, I can just see how tough her life must’ve been when she was childless in a world where a woman's worth is measured in her children. She must’ve been embarrassed and I am sure she felt a lot of times that she is worthless.

My dear friend, the Lord wants me to tell you today that you are not worthless. God weights your value in gold and He places you among princes. You are beautiful and perfect in every way, because you were designed and created by the Creator of heaven and earth. There are no flaws in your design so you should not think yourself any lesser than the next person. No matter your mistakes or whatever you past looks like, you are perfect to God and He loves you unconditionally. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Come and let us accept who we are and let us shine for Jesus and show the world that God made us perfect for He that dwells within us is perfect.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
