Today Reminder – 21 July 2014 (Day 15 – War)

A reminder for today
The LORD is rebuilding Jerusalem and bringing the exiles back to Israel. He heals the broken hearted and bandages their wounds. (Psalm 147:2-3)

We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. - Winston Churchill

Out of war comes disaster and destruction. In our personal battles we often end up in ruins. We fight our battles and in the end we reach that place of no return where we shut down and lose hope. Where are you in your battles today, my friend? Our sermon yesterday was about Samson and there are two things that I want to remind you about from the life of Samson. You see he was a legend, because of his remarkable strength. He was so strong that he killed a lion like a normal man would kill a small antelope. His was fearless as he attacked the philistines and destroyed their armies and this made him much loved and much hated. Now the two things we need to remember about Samson is that for one he was fearless and two, he was Spirit filled. You see the Word says that the Spirit of God came over him and then he killed the lion. To me the two things are the result of each other.

When we fear we lose faith. Hence we end up in ruins, but when we start to believe fearlessly then we will inevitably receive our power from the Holy Spirit making us unstoppable and as strong as Samson in our own battles.

God wants to rebuild you my friend. He wants you be the very foundation that you stand on today and the strength that flows through you. He wants to bring you back to Him. If you feel like an exile, because of the wrongs in your life and that you cannot find your way back to Him, then this is exactly where He wants to help you. He wants to rebuild you stronger than before and make you a Spirit filled fearless warrior. He will heal your broken heart and bandage your wounds. He will carry you through your battles and make you stronger with each step.

Come with me today as we call out to the enemy: We shall defend our faith and our trust, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight in our homes and at our places of work. We shall fight on our knees and with our prayers. We shall fight with fearless hearts and eyes focussed on Jesus and we shall never surrender.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
