Today Reminder – 03 July 2014 (Day 03 – War)

A reminder for today
My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave.
(Psalm 143:3)

Captain’s log – Day 3

I woke with a tremendous headache and slowly readied myself for the day ahead. I walked up to the bridge to look out at the enemy fleet as they lay motionless waiting for the right moment to attack. I could feel the heavy mood of the men manning the bridge as they looked up and out towards their definite end.

I stood there for a while looking out. I felt so alone…

Sometimes the attacks by the enemy can be so fierce that they leave as knocked down and covered in darkness. We could feel lost and defeated as we look at the pain that left us where we are. Out of the dark the Lord stretches out His hand breaking the light as He pulls your broken body closer.

He whispers softly that all will soon be over and soon you will see His kingdom. All of this is only temporary. All of this is only for a short time.

Come my friend as we ready ourselves for the battle today. Let us hold on to Him as He pulls as closer to Him. Let us embrace His love and strength for our hearts is not here, our hearts is in heaven.  Let us strand our ground and face the attacks of the enemy. Let us refresh our souls in His presence and lift up our weapons.

Now! Charge…

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
