A
reminder for today
Reach
down from heaven and rescue me; rescue me from deep waters, from the power of
my enemies. (Psalm 144:7)
Sometimes in the middle of our battles it may seem as if
we are deep under the burden of our challenges. Almost as if you are swimming
in the sea and a huge wave smashes into you, rolling you over and over and the mass
of water just covers you and drags you into the sand. When you finally get
yourself under control and pushes yourself up and out of the water, you gulp for air and
frantically looking towards the ocean just in case another one of those smashers are
on their way.
Life can have that drowning effect on us at times. When
the mountain of problems leave you gulping for air as waves on waves of
challenges smashes you into the ground and rolls you over and over. The enemy
loves this way of destroying its victims. By making you face wave on wave and
grinding you into the ground, trying to drown you in your misfortune.
This is when we must stop, take that breath of air and
let the Lord reach down and rescue us. Let the Lord pull us out of these deep
waters and away from the power of the enemy (and enemies).
Today, when those waves come smashing, look up and see how
the Lord will pull you out and rescue you.
"Do
not be afraid, for I am with you.” (Isaiah 43:5)
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
