Today Reminder – 31 October 2014 (Day 23 – Faith)

A reminder for today
So I end this month with these words from Hebrews 11

How much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets. By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection. Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons. Some died by stoning, some were sawed in half, and others were killed with the sword. Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and mistreated. They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground. All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us

With faith there is no mountain too high and no storm to fierce, there is no fear and no more worries. There is just faith and trust.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 30 October 2014 (Day 22 – Faith)

A reminder for today
It was by faith that the people of Israel marched around Jericho for seven days, and the walls came crashing down. (Hebrews 11:30)

How are you today, my dear friend? The challenges and waves of life seem to get bigger and bigger. Sometimes in life we build walls. You see we are all really good wall builders. We face problems and then we erect a wall between us and our friends trying to stay calm even though the earth below us trembles as we walk. We become angry and irritated and poof we make a wall blocking out the world. We struggle in our relationships and then we build walls to protect us. How many walls do you have?

I must admit I have a few. Only problem is that most of my walls are so thick that nothing penetrates them anymore. I guess it is our way to protect our inner being. You know that place where we are most vulnerable. I believe that with faith in our Lord we can destroy the walls in our lives. We can trust the Lord for the changes we need and watch as He destroy wall after wall setting us free.

I pray that the Lord will pick you up behind your walls today and lift you out so that you will see His light again. I pray that the warmth of His presence will set you free and that you will renew your faith, trusting Him to bring the changes in your life that you need and to set you back on your journey. I pray that all your challenges will come crashing down as we walk around them shouting praises to our Lord.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 29 October 2014 (Day 21 – Faith)

A reminder for today
It was by faith that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground. But when the Egyptians tried to follow, they were all drowned. (Hebrews 11:29)

It is funny how we are at day two in this week and it already feels like day five. So far it has been a week filled with challenges that causes stress which leads to irritation and frustration. I must say that the last few weeks have been tough and to top it all, it is only going to get harder. Our work load for the next two months has increased drastically which means that we are standing on the edge of a storm. My days have been tormented by emotional and physical challenges that are pushing me to the very edge of my limitations.

How are you doing my friend? Today I have this beautiful image of us standing at the banks of our problems that lies ahead of us like a sea of storms. As we stand on the edge we can feel the power of the wind as it gushes at our bodies splashing wave after wave on the rocks below our feet. The cold water combined with the chilly wind freezes our bodies and leaves as gasping for our breath as fear drips from our hands and into the water below. Thunder cracks open the clouded sky highlighting the heavy rain that starts to pour over us. As the world shakes below us with the ongoing storm that rages ahead we look up and call out to the Lord in faith.

Suddenly His hand reaches out of the clouds touching us and touching the sea of storms ahead of us. The wind howls and howls and the water suddenly break apart leaving a gap for us to walk on. The water parts and creates a dry road for us to travel on safely through the storm as the waves that threatened our existence now shadow our journey. We walk by faith safely through the sea while our problems drown behind us.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 28 October 2014 (Day 20 – Faith)

A reminder for today
It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He chose to share the oppression of God's people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of Christ than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his great reward. (Hebrews 11:24-26)

My dear friend, it is by faith that we accept the life we have in Jesus over the life the world has to offer. It is by faith that we continue each day even when we are frowned upon by the way we live and laughed at when we do not share in the wrong things of this world. It is by faith that we accept a humble way of life over a self-glorified rich and misdirected life. Let us look ahead like Moses did, for it is better to suffer for Christ than to own the treasures of this world.

You are in my heart this week my friend and feel that the Holy Spirit wants me to carry you in my prayers so that you will remain strong in your faith regardless of the waves in the storms ahead. So I bring you to the Lord today in my prayer as I pray that the Lord will just pick you up and hold you close. I pray that He will be with you in your heart and in your voice with every step that you take today so that you will stand bold and determined as you face your storms with a fearless heart. I pray that you will be safe in His hands as you journey today through all the dark places and that you will resist the temptations of the enemy so that nothing will be able to bring you down. I pray that you will be a tower of strength and fortress of hope. I pray that you will be safe through all that you will do today and that you will feel His healing hands through any and all of your pain.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 27 October 2014 (Day 19 – Faith)

A reminder for today
All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. (Hebrews 11:13)

The meaning of a Nomad is a wanderer or a drifter. My dear friend, the biggest promise God made for us is the life that awaits us in heaven. Faith is the very foundation of our journey that is leading us to heaven. Jesus said that He is the way and we will only be able to enter heaven through Him. This is what we stand for. You and I are believers following Jesus and living in His light. This very way of life means that we are destined for heaven and there should be no doubt in us about that.

Stand with me today as we see our future in the distance and let us welcome it by allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us through life as we follow God’s voice. Let’s stand up and show Jesus to the world, in our lives and our beliefs. Let us be the essence of our faith by living it day by day.

The minute you bring Jesus into any equation the result is unlimited. Be like Jesus and allow His ways to be your ways.
I pray that you will walk into today with no more fear and no more worries. I pray that the Lord will come and lift you up out of your challenges and your worries and let you watch as they shrink away. I pray that you will be stronger today and that you will look ahead knowing you are destined for heaven. I pray that your life will shine and lead other to the Lord.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
