Today Reminder – 15 January 2016

A reminder for today
But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. (John 15:7-8)

What do you want, my friend? Everybody wants something or desires something. People want bigger or faster cars or maybe a new house or nice clothing or maybe new sunglasses or a fancy holiday or maybe a new job that pays more money. With the continuous increase of inflation and prices that is always on the rise there is always a need for more money. The world demands more so the consumer must fork out more or be happy with less.

So if we look at the way the world changes it is hard for us to comprehend this: But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! Jesus gave us a promise that everything we ask for will be granted, but He clearly states that we must remain in Him and He must remain in us. To me this directly talks about our faith. We must remain faithful in Him as He remains in us and then we can ask for anything. The problem is we are all jackpot winner type of people, because when we ask we want it now. God knows what we need and He will give what we need when He knows it is the best time. What we must keep in mind is that it is all about God and His glory so when God blesses us by granting what we ask for it must go hand in hand with His glory. So God will give when we remain faithful in Him and when we receive it glorifies His name.

So today I want to remind you that we can ask anything from God, but we must remain in Him and He in us then it will be granted, because then we become true disciples that will produce much fruit.

Lord, guide us when we ask so that we will remain faithful in you and become true disciples so that we can glorify you in all we do and in all we are. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
