Today Reminder – 20 January 2016

A reminder for today
But God made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens. When he speaks in the thunder, the heavens roar with rain. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses. (Jeremiah 10:12-13)

Lord, you have blessed us with the most amazing rain over the past few days and you continue to shower us in your grace as you bless us with more rain. The clouds fill the heavens above us thick and full ready to bring more rain and the thunder roar and light up the skies above us. Your hand has turned our mourning into laughing and our fear into joy. I look up at these clouds and I smell the rain and I remember that you made this earth by your power. You spoke and created all that we see and you preserve it by your wisdom. You clothe and feed even the smallest of your creation. I am in awe again of your great power as I stand small and humble before you Lord.

Let us remember today that you are our God and if you take care of the birds and you feed and clothe them, how much more will you take care of us. Let us turn away from our worldly nature and seek a mind and body that desires more of you. Let us break the chains of sin and bind us to your Word. Let us free our minds from the barriers of human nature to the vast possibilities of being your children. Let us leap with faith into tomorrow knowing that with you we can do anything. Keep our hearts real and keep your grace close as we release our spirits from this matrix world to the heavens that awaits us.

Speak to us. Lord and let your words thunder in our hearts so that we will become bold and fearless warriors in your name and for your glory. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
