A reminder for today
In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. (1 Peter 5:10)

Awesome Word for today! My dear friend, in the world of those that follows Jesus life is no fairy tale. For a little while we will face trail and tribulations. We will battle daily challenges and we will watch as our world slowly fades away. For a little while we will struggle and suffer and then we will live forever. Yes, we stand at the foot of a new year and yes we are going to walk through tough times, but God says that He will restore, support and strengthen you and then He will place you on a firm foundation so that you can face the coming storms. To God be all the glory!!

My friend, I want to remind you that you should look at life with the knowledge that God will always stand by your side and He will support you through hard times and strengthen you when you feel weak. He will restore you when you are broken and lost and He will pick you up when you have fallen. You are special to Him and so valuable. 

Lord I thank you and praise your name for this awesome promise that we can take with us today. Come Lord and restore us, strengthen us and support us as we stand on you our foundation in life. In Jesus name.

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving.
